Besides the blatant, "You can't tell me who I can love," message, here are a few more things from Episode 1x14: Dreamy.
Door-to-door salesman are as welcome as that volcano-zit you inevitably get before a big day. They're like real-life Internet pop-up ads. Mary Margaret and Leroy discover that being the town drunk and the town harlot don't help things much.
Grumpy saves Nova's bag of fairy dust from being torched. Nova is thankful and mentions that she's a klutzy idiot who dreams of being a fairy godmother. Grumpy tells her she can be anything she wants as long as she dreams it. Nova then drops hints like a rockslide drops boulders that she's into Grumpy, but Grumpy is oblivious to her clues and body language. You can ascribe Grumpy's naivete to being a year old dwarf who has had little contact with women, but we like to think that male dwarfs are just as clueless as male humans when it comes to females.
Where Dwarfs Come From
Dwarfs are hatched not born. But this poses an even bigger question: where do the dwarf eggs come from?

The blue fairy was the nun that was at the desk in the community center and Astrid told her about her using all the money to buy the helium tanks.
DeleteThe guy with the carrot was Jack Sprat. Jack Spat could eat no fat, his wife could eat no lean. His wife was a bigger lady.

ReplyDeleteMy husband and I noticed that some of the names on the telephone record sound like words.
M. Burr (notice, this is the only one that was an in bound call) = ember - like a burning piece off of a fire, or a slowly dying romance.
T. Clare = Declare - or Clare on its own clear/bright/famous
B. Manning = Be manning like to keep watch.
N.Carney = sounds like incarnate which means to make human, to become flesh. This could be in reference to Pinocchio or even to the Blue Fairy, we only know her as Mother Superior in storybrooke. The N could even stand for nun.
Personally I think that T. Green could be a boyfriend and the reason little miss thing thought she was pregnant.
Or she and David actually had sex. David would've brought that up unless the curse took away memories on how babies are made. Besides, Kathryn said she wants to find love, that's not something she would say if she had a BF. Her reaction to David's affair wouldn't have been to slap MM if she was having an affair herself.

ReplyDeleteI just read Beauty and the Beast on this website. From that story, I can see why Mr. Gold doesn't like the nuns. A bad fairy turned the prince into "the Beast". The nuns are the fairies, so Mr. Gold doesn't like the nuns. I know Rumpelstiltskin wasn't turned into "the Beast" by the fairies, but he is considered "the Beast" in FTL.
