The evil gnome turned up in the real world as stone gnome in her garden. She turned him into stone and kept him I guess.
ReplyDeleteEricka
Wasn't *spoiler: Blind Witch's real world character* sitting in front of Rumpelstiltskin at the debat? she seemed to look like the actress who was credited at the end of the episode. It seems like she'll be back next week as that character, but The blind witch is played by a young woman. Perhaps Regina/EQ hates her and made sure that she is actually aging. Although she did die in the original fairy tale.. we'll see i guess
ReplyDeleteIn the Hansel & Gretel episode the store clerk at the beginning is Sneezy
ReplyDeleteI am confused, cause when i search blind witch the girl with stitch eyes comes up. But in the hansel and gretal episode, isn't the blonde girl the blind witch?
ReplyDeleteWe think that's what she looked like after she got burnt.
DeleteBurn, baby, burn *windsheild wipers*
Yes, I know, I am very random
Could Dr.Whale be Doc?
ReplyDeleteNo. The actors are different, the actor from fairytale land is always the same as the actor in Storybrooke.
DeleteBeing that his last name is Whale, I would guess that he is Moby Dick. But it's odd that he would be turned into a human..
DeleteDr. Hopper is a human when he's Jimminy Cricket.
DeleteWould make no sense that doc. Whale is a Moby Dick character cause Moby dick ain't a fairy tale. Altough, there is a whale in the pinnochio tale ...
DeleteThere was a whale in the Pinochio story.
DeleteArchie/Dr.Hopper was a human before he was a cricket, so that's why he's a human in our world.
DeleteWHoops! Sorry, that comment was from me, Jade
Deletedr whale should be blue beaard. flirty
DeleteAnd what about Mr. K?
ReplyDeleteWhat's the deal with him?
Take a look at the Mayor's office press conference to announce Sydney Glass as sheriff (Ep 8). I think the Giant and the Blind Witch (aka "Miss Ginger"?) from FTL are standing together among the guests. He's the very big/tall guy in dark blue. :)
ReplyDeleteTHey are. I saw at least the Giant, I'll have to check again for the blind witch.
DeleteWhy do you say that Charming's mother is named Ruth? Did they say that in the show?
ReplyDeleteThe actress is credited as "Ruth/Peasant Woman" from various sources.
DeleteSo her name is Ruth in the real world then?
DeleteNo, her real world persona isn't known yet if she even has one. She's Ruth the peasant woman in Fairy Tale Land. :)
DeleteIf you look in the picture right above the picture of the gnome, you can see the giant(or at least a giant) in the background behind the cloud of smoke. His head is just above the mushroom cloud on the right side.
ReplyDeleteHere's a theory I've been debating...
ReplyDeleteI think that Dr. Whale could be Pinocchio. In the Pilot, we saw Pinocchio as a real boy, sitting on the floor beside Geppetto and carving a whale. Now, if you think about his personality as a wooden puppet, he was very mischevious and always causing trouble. Dr. Whale tells Mary Margaret that he never does what's expected of him. Now I know that his age may seem like an issue, but think about this: in the original novel, Pinocchio meets the beautiful Child with blue hair, who wants to call herself his sister. But of course, he goes gallivanting off on some misadventure and ends up in trouble. By the time he finds her again, she states that she is almost old enough to be his mother. He then spends some time with her after that before going on the misadventure that nearly turns him into a donkey. So we know that Pinocchio spent quite some time as a puppet, which COULD, in Storybrooke, translate to his being an adult.... if Pinocchio was a puppet for 20-25 years, in our more literal world he cannot be approximately 25 years old but still appear as the young Pinocchio we saw in the pilot....
I was thinking Doc from the dwarfs could be Dr. Whale, but maybe that's just too obvious
ReplyDeleteI want to know who the man is standing outside of Belle's cell in Storybrooke Hospital in "Skin Deep". Does anyone have any ideas on him? He has long dark hair, in scrubs and looks like he is holding a mop. The EQ walks right past him to go to look in on Belle.
ReplyDeletehttp://ouatv1.blogspot.com/2012/02/once-upon-time-stuff-from-1x13.html
DeleteAnonymous, I think you meant - http://ouatv1.blogspot.com/2012/02/once-upon-time-stuff-from-1x12.html (Skin Deep episode)
DeleteBut it still didn't explain who the man is.
My best guess is that he is the Sorcerer from Sorcerer's Apprentice. He has long hair and is seen with a mop.
DeleteWe will find out how Rumpelstiltskin lost his son in episode 19, The Return. How do I know this? Robert Cartyle tweeted it.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know where else to post this, so I am doing this here at "other characters". I was wondering if there is any significance to the number of knitted hats that both Emma and Mary Margaret wear in all of the episodes? Not one hat is the same in any given episode. How can they afford so many different knitted hats? They are great, BTW.
ReplyDeleteGranny stated her name in episode 1x15. Did anyone catch it?
ReplyDeleteYou mean Red/Ruby's name? It's Eliza.
DeleteWho said Ruby's name is Eliza? Her name is Ruby.
DeleteGranny called Ruby, Eliza, because Ruby is always dressed in drag. I also found out Granny's name on her page:
Deletehttp://ouatv1.blogspot.com/2012/03/once-upon-time-widow-lucas-granny.html
Actually, it was "Liza"
DeleteGranny called Ruby, Liza not Eliza. It was a joke referring to Liza Minnelli having a huge drag following. Hence the drag comment to Ruby.
ReplyDeleteI wonder where Frederick has been since Kathryn's disappearance?
ReplyDeleteOh! Peter and the Wolf!
ReplyDeleteI guess you can update King George's "Real World" character as District Attorney Albert Spencer.
ReplyDeleteKing George/Albert Spencer(Alan Dale) and The King/Mitchell Herman(Ted Whittall) have been seen in "The Killing". What an appropriate spot for them.
ReplyDeleteAre you going to add Daniel?
ReplyDeleteOoh, look! They added Daniel! (JK)
DeleteHey, Jade here.
ReplyDeleteBTW, I'm going in the same order they are on on the page.
First, under Daniel, it says "mostpowerfulmagic". Just saying.
Paige's new parents are the neighbors who were watching her in Fairy Tale land (FTL)
Moe French: Okay, it seemed his town was pretty french, so that's a given, and Maurice (nickname: Moe) was Belle's father's name in FTL
Sneezy actually went from being a sneezy dwarf to being a sneezy pharmacist. Oh, irony!
Who made SLeepy a security guard? That person should be fired. Litteraly.
I saw the ogre in Story Brooke (SB)when Regina had the press come for making Sydney sheriff.
Mitchelle Herman: something must have happened in FTL once Thomas went missing that made him not want Ella around anymore, because last time I checked, SB people still maintain basic personality qualities. Maybe he was secretly going to have Ella give her baby to Rumple so he could get his son back, but the curse came before she was born.
The "villainess" looks like ursula.
Okay, I'm done. ;D
~Jade: (Again)
ReplyDeleteThe Red Knight could be a red knight from Aurthorian legend see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Knight
I think Mother Superior remembers. It's been more than hinted at. Can someone please check the whole Phone controversy? It's driving me insaine!
ReplyDeleteI checked myself, and it's completely phony, so, forget what I said.
DeleteExcept the Mother SUperior part. I still think she remembers.
DeleteBTW, that "dwarf" kind of looks like a viking. Just saying.
ReplyDeleteOoh! Now I get why Moe is a florist! DUH! *smack*
ReplyDeleteI'm a 100% sure the nurse outside Belle's counterpart's cell is the queen of hearts! Just look at her hair, the rose EQ gave her, and the tea Jefferson gave her - it all makes sense. And besides, it looks like it could be an alternate entrance down there, in the mines where Henry and Archie left, so it could be "through the rabbit hole"?
ReplyDeleteThinking Dr. Whale is the jack of hearts
DeleteMike Tillman could also end up being the Tinman!
ReplyDeleteCould Dr. Whale be Dr. Frankenstein? The director of Bride of Frankenstein was James Whale (similar names), and Dr. Whale does work in a hospital...
ReplyDeleteThat's not a bad idea, although I think it would be kind of corny to have a mad scientist along with witches and fairies. However, I won't discard the possibility. It could very well happen, considering as the writers are finding brilliant ways to pull numerous different characters together! I guess we'll see! :)
DeleteJust want to point out... I called this back in May! I wonder if I'll be right about Baelfire too...
Deletethats it :)
DeleteYou should include the possibility of the Horned King from the Chronicles pf Prydain being amidst the Evil Queen's council in summoning the Dark Curse! :) There's a lot of fan speculation on that! :)
ReplyDeleteThe Dark One is a reference to Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time book series along with the name Baelfire and Morraine.
ReplyDeleteThe Dark One is a reference to the book series "The Wheel of Time" by Robert Jordan. Baelfire and Morraine also come from that series.
ReplyDeleteneed to get rid of Ruth's real world persona
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jade. :)
DeleteWe're sorry for being so behind. Real life can be so annoying sometimes.
Hey, just reminding you. Never angrily. :)
Delete~Liadon
ReplyDeletebaelfire is peterpan ş suppose.
hes around 13, and the bean creates a portal to neverland?!?!
Okay, now that we know his backstory, I think Dr. Whale finally deserves his own page. :)
ReplyDelete
