[+] ► [-] Snow White | Mary Margaret Bio

Snow White's father was King Leopold. Her mother, who has not been named, passed away when she was a child. Snow's stepmother is the Evil Queen, Regina.

Regina murders Leopold by proxy then locks her murder vision on Snow. She hires a huntsman to cut out Snow's heart, but he has mercy on Snow and releases her. Snow books it to the woods where she lives a hunter-gatherer lifestyle and robs the Queen's carriages as they pass through the woods.

One day, Snow mistakenly robs a carriage belonging to a betrothed royal couple--Charming and his fiance, Princess Abigail. She relieves them of a bag of jewels then bolts. Charming pursues her and tackles her off her horse. He's about to pummel her, but he's astonished when he pulls her hood off and discovers Snow is female. "You're a girl," he gasps. Snow White uses his astonishment-pause to correct him and says, "A woman." She punctuates her correction with a rock across his jaw.

Shock + Correction + Rock = @!#$%&^*

Snow mounts her steed and escapes while Charming is left in her dust shouting, "I will find you!"

Charming tracks down Snow and ensnares her in a net trap. He demands his jewels back. Snow demands her release and sarcastically dubs him Charming then informs him that she sold his jewels to trolls. Charming threatens to turn her in to the Queen, and because Snow wishes to remain not dead, she agrees to take him to the trolls.

On their way to the trolls, Charming notices Snow's necklace: a heart-shaped glass bottle containing black fairy dust. Snow explains that the dust is a dangerous weapon that'll transform the most fearsome adversary into a harmless form, and she's saving it for someone special. Charming correctly surmises that the special someone Snow wants to dust is the Queen.

Snow feigns thirst, and they stop at a river to drink. While Charming is drinking, Snow knees him in the gut, pushes him in the river, and runs--directly into the Queen's men.

Regina's men have standing orders to separate Snow White from her heart, and as they're about to perform their duty to the Queen, Charming shows up and saves Snow's life. Snow is surprised that he would save her, and he nonchalantly replies, "It seemed like the honorable thing to do."

They continue on their way and meet the trolls at a bridge. The trolls become suspicious and turn on them. Charming fends them off long enough for Snow to escape, but Charming isn't as fortunate. Snow takes off then notices Charming isn't behind her. She debates on whether she should keep running or return to help Charming.

To flee, or not to flee, that is the question. Whether 'tis nobler in the mind...ah, screw it...

She goes back to the troll bridge and uses her fairy dust on the trolls to save Charming's life. He's surprised that she would save him, and she nonchalantly replies with a shrug, "The honorable thing to do. ... Anyway, how could I let Prince Charming die?"

They continue along together until they come to the road that leads to Charming's castle. Charming rifles through the jewelry bag and extracts his mother's ring. He offers the rest of the jewels to Snow but she declines. They part ways physically but love has taken root between them and they carry each other in their hearts and minds.

Snow can't get Charming out of her head. The thought of him has become like that song that fuses itself to your brain, clamoring for all of your attention and refusing to be ousted and ignored no matter how hard you try. But Snow secretly doesn't mind thinking about Charming all the time because she loves him. Yet, there is a problem: Charming's fiance, Princess Abigail.

Snow doesn't want to be a homewrecker, so she asks Rumpelstiltskin for help to forget Charming.

Make the Charming thoughts stop.

Rumpelstiltskin gives her potion to make her forget Charming, but Snow doesn't know Charming and his fiance are no longer betrothed, and he's looking for Snow to be with her. She drinks Rumpelstiltskin's potion and it does indeed expunge Charming from her memory, but it has the unwanted side effect of cold-hearted-bitchiness.

With her heart hardened, Snow turns the tables on Regina and decides it's time to eliminate her. She once again seeks Rumpelstiltskin's aid, and he helps her by equipping her with an enchanted bow and arrow.

No worries. I can kill her because I'm evil. See, I'm even wearing a black cloak.

Snow sets out to kill Regina, but Charming appears and takes the arrow meant for Regina. Snow is furious and demands to know why he would leap in front of freakin' arrow. He tells her he loves her and doesn't want her heart to be blackened by killing Regina. Snow's coldness thaws as she realizes Charming would die for her. She kisses Charming and the effects of Rumpelstiltskin's forgetful potion evaporate and she once more remembers she loves him.

Snow and Charming wed, and Regina, in true evil queen form, crashes their wedding. She brings a present, a promise neatly wrapped in a threat: "I shall destroy your happiness if it is the last thing I do."

Babe, check her out. I can't believe she had the nerve to show up.

Snow fears Regina, and visits Rumpelstiltskin for help. He tells her the Queen is going to unleash her fury in the form of a ridiculously powerful curse that's going to imprison everyone in a terrible place. Rumpelstiltskin says their only hope is Snow's unborn baby, Emma.

Snow gives birth to Emma as Regina comes knocking with the curse in tow. Charming fights through Regina's guards to get Emma into a magical wardrobe that was made to take her to safety. Emma escapes Regina and the curse, but Snow and Charming are left to face Regina.

Regina's curse appears on cue and transports all of Fairy Tale Land to the real world, erasing almost everyone's memories in the process.

Fast forward to the real world--Storybrooke, Maine--and Snow White now exists as Mary Margaret Blanchard a mild-mannered, timid shell of her former self, who is also childless, lonely, unwed, and living in fear of Regina.

[+] ► [-] Snow White | Mary Margaret Quotes

  • "I want kids, marriage... true love. I want it all." -Mary Margaret Blanchard
  • "If you love them and they love you, they will always find you." -Mary Margaret Blanchard
  • "I'm a teacher, not a nun. I had a date." -Mary Margaret Blanchard
  • "Is this the only way you can catch a woman? By entrapping her?" -Snow White to Prince James
  • Mary Margaret and Emma discuss Emma's parents.
Emma: "If they wanted to know me, they wouldn't make it so hard to look."
Mary Margaret: "Maybe, but maybe there's other reasons. Maybe there is an explanation."
Emma: "If there is, it's something crazy. Something even crazier than Henry's theory."
    Mary Margaret: "What's Henry's theory?"
Emma: "Well, that my parents put me a magical wardrobe and sent me to this world to save them."
Mary Margaret: "Aw, who does he think they are?"
    Emma: "Well, for one--you."
    Mary Margaret: "Me?"
    Emma: "Snow White."
Mary Margaret: "Snow White--has a kid."
Emma: Apparently that book you gave him, not exactly the stories in the most traditional sense.
Mary Margaret: "I have a kid. You'd think I'd remember that."
    Emma: "Yeah, you'd think."
Mary Margaret: "You do kind of have my chin."
  • Mary Margaret and Emma discuss David.
Mary Margaret: "I just like to come here to see him."
    Emma: "So, you're a stalker?"
Mary Margaret: "No, not really... maybe a little bit. I mean it's not like I'm following him. I just know that he spends his mornings with Kathryn, gets coffee then drives to the animal shelter to start work at seven-thirty and then he's home around five."
    Emma: "Oh, is that all?"
Mary Margaret: "Thursdays they pick up Chinese for dinner. I can't get him out of my head."
  • Mary Margaret: "Love's the worst. I wish there was a magic cure."
