[+] ► [-] Regina Bio
Regina grew up under her mother Cora's tyrannical, critical microscope. Despite her mother's magic-infused iron fist, Regina managed to resist indoctrination into the dark side. Her father, Henry, was subservient and allowed Cora's cruelty to go unchecked.
Regina falls in love with Daniel, her stable boy. She keeps their relationship secret because her overbearing mother would never approve. One day while secretly meeting Daniel, a girl on a runaway horse zips by screaming for help. Regina kicks it into gear, mounts her horse, and chases after the girl. She saves the girl, who is shaken but fine. The girl introduces herself as Snow White and says she'll never ride a horse again. Regina encourages her with, "The only way to overcome fear is to face it."
Snow's father, King Leopold, visits Regina to express his gratitude for saving Snow. To Regina's utmost horror, he also proposes. He says he's been searching high and low for a new wife, but no one wants a man with baggage, not even a king. Regina is dumbstruck, so Cora amusingly takes the liberty and accepts the king's proposal.
Regina tears a trail to the stable to tell Daniel about Leopold's proposal and Cora's acceptance of said proposal. She tells Daniel she cares nothing for being a queen and simply wants to be with him. They make plans to elope. Daniel pulls a ring off a saddle and slips it on Regina's finger. Unlike the horrified reaction she exhibited when Leopold did the same thing, Regina is elated. She and Daniel kiss, and Snow White once again interrupts them.
Snow runs away, and Regina gives pursuit, catching up to her. Snow wants to know why Regina was kissing Daniel if Regina's to be wed to Leopold. Regina explains love to Snow then tells her that she loves Daniel. Snow's happy for Regina and wants to tell Leopold to call off the wedding. Regina stops her and tells her she must never tell anyone, especially Cora. Snow promises to keep Regina's secret.
Cora knows something is amiss with Regina. She also knows Snow still mourns the loss of her mother. Cora circles Snow's grief like a jackal on the prowl then pounces by telling Snow she feels as though she's losing Regina. She goes on to say how much she loves Regina and how she would do anything to make Regina happy. Snow, not wanting Regina to bear the loss of a mother, tells Cora about Regina and Daniel.
Armed with her newfound knowledge, Cora intercepts Regina and Daniel as they're eloping. She registers her protest by Hadoken-blasting them, which has the desired cease and desist effect she was after and deposits Regina and Daniel on their respective arses.
Despite her fear of Cora and just being mule-kicked by Cora's magic, Regina stands up to her mother. Cora feigns acquiescence then pulls Daniel to the side for a spot of parenting advice. Daniel thanks her, and Cora responds like an Aztec priest by putting a fist through his chest, smoothly ripping his heart out and then pulverizing it.
Regina is as crushed as Daniel's heart. She rushes to his lifeless body and cradles him while Cora drones on about love being weakness and how she's actually saving Regina. Cora cuts Regina's mourning short by yanking her to her feet and telling her it's time to move on.Â
Cora wastes no time in prepping Regina for her marriage to Leopold. Regina's apathy is apparent as she's being fitted for her wedding dress. Snow compliments her, and Regina replies detachedly until Snow mentions marrying Daniel. Regina sparks to life and asks Snow if she told Cora about Daniel. Snow admits she did because she didn't want Regina to lose her mother. Regina's shock and anger suck the breath out of her. She turns away from Snow, and you can almost hear her sanity shattering. She composes herself, and any goodness that remained after Daniel's death is buried as darkness, vengeance, and a touch of madness usher in the Evil Queen. Regina faces Snow again and assures her that she isn't angry with her, and that she's looking forward to being her stepmother.
Regina marries Leopold and years later begins to serve up dishes of icy cold revenge.
Leopold brings home a genie who falls in love with Regina. She uses the skills she gleaned from Cora and plays the genie like a used fiddle and gets him to kill Leopold.
Regina moves on to her next target, Snow White. She has a simple plan: kill her. But Regina's plan proves to be easy only in theory as Regina's attempts to remove Snow White from existence fail because Snow White is harder to kill than Rasputin in full body armor.
Regina moves on to plan B: make Snow suffer. Having no joy of her own, Regina believes Snow White should also suffer in a like manner. Regina crashes Snow's wedding, but she has the decency to bring a gift, which Snow White wisely declines, but Regina insists she have nonetheless.
Regina's gift to Snow White is a promise: "I shall destroy your happiness if it is the last thing I do." ...
Regina makes good on her threat by casting The Dark Curse, an immensely powerful spell designed to put an end to Snow White's happiness and everyone else's as well because that's how The Evil Queen rolls.
Regina makes a beeline for Snow's castle with the curse thundering around her and throughout Fairy Tale Land. Snow has just given birth to a daughter, Emma, who is whisked away by Snow White's husband, Charming, and placed in an enchanted wardrobe to save her from Regina and the curse.
The curse transports everyone to the real world. They land in Storybrooke, Maine—a small coastal New England town where Regina is the mayor and almost everyone has no memory of their past lives or of Fairy Tale Land. For twenty-eight years Regina reigns unchallenged, content to watch all the Fairy Tale Land characters drudge through eternity in constant fear of her, especially Snow White, who's lost all her moxie and is now the lonely, meek and timid Mary Margaret Blanchard.
Regina adopts a baby boy and names him after her father, Henry, whom she murdered in Fairy Tale Land so she could enact the curse.
When her son, Henry, is ten, he discovers the truth about Regina and Storybrooke. He searches for and locates the only person who can break Regina's curse, Emma Swan, who also happens to be his birth mother. Fate decides that adopting and raising the curse breaker's son as your own only to have him despise you and bring the curse breaker to your doorstep isn't ironic enough, so it strikes Regina with another WTF: Emma is Snow White's daughter.
Regina feels threatened by Emma's presence in Storybrooke and tries to get rid of her with threats and framing her for theft, which leads to Emma's arrest. But like mother, like daughter, Emma is as hard to get rid of as a third wheel.
Regina uses Jefferson to reach Fairy Tale Land in the past. Jefferson retrieves the poisoned apple that Regina used on Snow White, and Regina uses the apple to make a turnover to poison Emma. Henry winds up eating the turnover and lapses into a coma.
Regina has no choice but to work with Emma to save Henry. Emma saves Henry, and everyone's memories are restored. Regina flees to her house and weeps over losing Henry to Emma and because she lost her control over everyone. As she's crying in Henry's room, she looks out the window and notices the magic that Rumpelstiltskin has just unleashed in Storybrooke. She grins as the oncoming magic rolls towards her.
Cora smiles warmly--completely ignoring Regina's distress.

One day while secretly meeting Daniel, a girl on a runaway horse zips by screaming for help. Regina kicks it into gear, mounts her horse, and chases after the girl. Emma: "I was not--"
Regina: "No! You don't get to speak. You don't get to do anything. You gave up that right when you tossed him away. Do you know what a closed adoption is? It's what you asked for. You have no legal right to Henry and you're going to be held to that. So, I suggest you get in your car and you leave this town because if you don't I will destroy you if it is the last thing I do. Regina: "Love doesn't work that way. Love--true love--is magic. Not just any magic, the most powerful magic of all. It creates happiness."
Snow: "And that man in the stables, you love him?"
Regina: "With all my heart."
Snow: "Then you must marry him. I will go tell father right away."
Regina: "No, you can't."
Snow: "Why not? Surely, he'll understand."
Regina: "Perhaps, but not everyone will. My mother for one. She'll stand in the way."
Snow: "That's why you're running."
Regina: "It's the only way our love can survive. Snow, do you know what a secret is?"
Snow: *nods*
Regina: "If you really, truly want to help me--"
Snow: "I do."

ReplyDeleteOf course she remember all she has done in both worlds :o)
DeleteWhat was the secret the evil queen told Snow White?
ReplyDeleteHer true love. Then, Snow told Regina's whackjob of a mother and Regina's mother ripped his heart out and crushed it into oblivion. So, nothing really.
DeleteCan you post pictures of the mayor's house?
ReplyDeleteThe queen seems to have a specific schedule for the thing she does each week ex: dinner with Henry every Thursday(?) at 5 before his appt. with Dr. Hopper, flowers to her father's grave every ____(?), "council meeting" every Saturday returning home at 5.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure about some of the days and wonder what else has she mentioned happens at a specific time each week.
Flowers to her fathers grave every wednsday.
Delete@Anonymous - Control freaks usually have a tightly regimented schedule that they adhere to. It's not surprising that Regina behaves this way.
